Working at Teva

We at Teva Runcorn are proud of the reputation that we have earned for being able to commercialise new aseptic sterile products for our group in an agile, efficient and compliant manner.

The Teva Group is committed to continued growth, and since it is the largest supplier of medicines to the USA and Europe, we can be assured that the products we make here in Runcorn will be successfully marketed. That confidence enables us to plan and deliver our growth whilst others around look on with envy. In our state-of-the-art manufacturing site, we have created a safe, clean, professional environment, and our pharmaceutical standards are second to none. In particular, it allows us to develop the skills of our people and to build efficiencies into our operations within a positive atmosphere.

We expect that the people who work with us will want to share in and contribute to the business by continually improving their standards of performance, and by caring for the well-being of our business as if it were their own. In return, we pay competitive salaries, and offer enviable additional benefits like a good basic holiday entitlement (with an option to "buy" additional holidays for qualifying staff); a money-purchase pension scheme with enhanced employer’s contributions; permanent health insurance and generous life assurance from the first day of work; enhanced maternity and paternity leave arrangements; a subsidised canteen; the list goes on.

Community

Whilst we enjoy the stability associated with being part of the Teva group, we strongly value our sense of site community. To this end, we put a lot of effort into organising and funding social and family events, such as the staff and partners Christmas party and the children's Christmas party.

Many of our employees have been at the site for many years and over 30% have more than 10 years' service. Having said that, over the last couple of years we have recruited a significant number of people from other pharmaceutical companies, and they have brought a wealth of new ideas and expertise into the business.

Communications are also very important here. Every month, the senior management team prepare a Team Brief which is cascaded throughout the site and gives everyone the opportunity to understand how the business is doing and what's new. In addition, there are manager's briefings every quarter, and these are followed by the Site Director briefing all staff in smaller groups and answering any questions that are raised.

We have a Quality Excellence Programme in place, which has led to enhanced training for all staff, as well as increasing the awareness of everyone's personal responsibility to perform and improve the business.

Finally, safety is always at the core of our business and we pride ourselves on our excellent record and safety culture. We have active health and safety representatives across the site who are encouraged to seek out safe working practices and support all staff on any safety issues.

So why work at Teva Runcorn?

It's a busy, active site where you will be able to make a difference. It is small enough that you will get to know people quickly, but large enough to provide opportunities for those who wish to develop.

It's the kind of place where the Site Director really does know most people's names and with our "open plan" working philosophy, not even he has his own office. In other words, if you want to ask him, or any member of the Senior Management Team, a question; go and find them at their desks or sit with them at lunch!
